 Henry and Catherine lived on a farm near Melrose, PA, and attended the Brethren Church where he was a deacon. He died in his 40s, and left 3 children, Henry was about 7 years old at this time. His widow, (Catherine) married a man named Miller and he compelled her to put her children among strangers at a very young age.
