Lived about one mile from the Black Rock Church, where he was an elder. He was a farmer and also ran a pottery. They are listed in the family records as being buried at the One Acre Price Cemetary now owned by the BlackRock Church, but actually their burials are at the Bollinger Farm Cemetary in Carroll County, Maryland.
