Michael Fately & Catharina Wartmann Fately

Michael Fately was the father of Catherine Fately, He married  Anna Catharina Wartmann Nov.26,1751. They were married in the New Hanover Lutheran Church. Michael Fately (Fedley) was listed as a miller in the Tax rolls of 1785 in New Hanover. Michael had two sisters, Sarah b. 1735 and Ester b.1737.

 Other Spellings used in this same family are, Fedeli, Fadely, Fedley, Fagley, Fadeli, Feadly, Fedele, Fegely, etc.

 According to the "History of the Lutheran Church in New Hanover" Montgomery Co. PA, p.327, the children were all baptised in that church. In the records, it is implied that Michael's fathers name was also Michael.

 

 The records in the Court House in Montgomery show that Michael made a will dated Feb. 24,1796.  It was probated Sept. 20,1797. It is listed in book 2, Page 8. The estate was divided between his children, or grandchildren if the parent were deceased. Johnathan and Son-in-Law Peter Henrich were the executors. The will was witnessed by John Bollinger and Jacob Crow.
