Rebecca Katherine was the daughter of Peter and Catherine Switzer Lambert. She married John Henry Switzer in Augusta Co. VA before moving to Illinois in

She and her husband are both buried in the Dunkard Cemetery at the Panther Creek Brethren Church in Roanoke.

Rebecca's brother, Henry Lambert died in the Mexican War.  There is more information below on that, that includes the connection of the Lamberts to the same area of VA in which the Switzers lived.
