Jennie R Judson was the 3rd child of John and Lucina Judson. She was born in Auburn, IL, but her mother was born in Germany. She married William Wiley and raised her family in Auburn. The author remembers visiting in her home, on a very cold day in Auburn, IL.  Grandma Wiley was sitting in a rocking chair very close to a pot belly stove in the center of the room.  Everyone kept telling

 me to stay back from the stove because it was red hot trying to keep the house warm. I believe the photo below was taken outside Jennie's house.
